Current Progress

  • Renders: I’ve reached 100+ renders for the upcoming version v0.3, and the visuals are shaping up nicely!
  • Scenes: While I previously focused on the dorm scenes, my current focus is on the gym scene, which is coming together with great attention to detail.

New Feature: Perspective Selection

One of the exciting additions coming in v0.3 is a feature I’ve been working on: Perspective Selection. Here’s a quick overview of what this feature entails:

  • The game will sometimes let you experience parts of the story from multiple characters perspective. Elena remains the primary focus and the central character. Occasionally, you’ll have the opportunity to follow other characters for unique insights and story elements.

  • How It Works: During certain events, you’ll be able to select which character to follow for a limited time. These “perspective paths” will occur simultaneously, showcasing different parts of the same event from unique angles.

  • Flexibility: If you want to explore everything, you can reload or revisit the paths. I will probably also add the other selections at the end of these perspectives paths. Alternatively, if you prefer focusing on a single character’s perspective, that’s also a valid approach.

  • Impact on Story: Currently, these perspective paths won’t include hard or impactful choices. Choices that significantly affect the story will still occur outside these paths, likely centered on Elena’s actions.

Next Steps

  • Implementing the Perspective Selection feature as a test for v0.3 to gather feedback.
  • Fine-tuning the gym scene and continuing work on the visual renders.
  • Based on your feedback, I’ll decide how to evolve this feature and whether to introduce impactful choices in future updates.
